Board-up, storm repair and flood cleanup for East Texas homes and businesses

Board-up and tarping, storm damage repair, and flood cleanup and drying, with the insurance documentation done alongside.

Chapter 01

Board-up and tarping: close the opening before the next rain

A storm leaves a property open. High winds take shingles, hail or debris breaks windows, a fallen tree or branch punctures the roof, and fire or vandalism can leave other structural openings. Each opening lets water in, and an open building is also exposed to theft and slow deterioration. That is why board-up and tarping is the first job, not the last.

BXC secures the damaged roof or window opening so it holds until the permanent repair can be done. Emergency response is around the clock, and the same-day estimate costs nothing. Temporary protection stops secondary damage, and as the shop puts it, quick action protects your investment and reduces repair costs.

A tarp is a stopgap, so the visit ends with the next step: the plan for the permanent repair. Tell the office up front if you expect to file a claim. Customer focused insurance claim guidance is part of every BXC job, and the paperwork starts at this first visit.

Storm damage repair: finding what the wind and hail did

After heavy wind, hail or rain, a roof can be hurt in ways you cannot see from the yard. The signs to watch for are missing or damaged shingles, dents or cracks in the roofing material, water stains on ceilings or walls, granules collecting in the gutters, visible holes or punctures, and sagging areas on the roof.

BXC inspects the roof, gives an honest assessment, and prices a fix that fits the damage and the budget, anywhere from a repair to a complete roof restoration. The inspection is where jobs are won or lost. One Google reviewer, Greg French, wrote that Adam from sales did an entire roof inspection and “found many areas of Hail Damage that many other companies that came by never found or mentioned.”

Aftercare matters as much as the repair. Johnna Hutchins wrote that BXC has “quality control and clean up superior. No roof nails or trash.” The finished work carries BXC’s warranty on roofing and repairs.

Chapter 03

Flood cleanup and drying: water out first, then the moisture

Flooding gets worse the longer it sits. The situations that call for cleanup are storm damage with extensive water intrusion, a failed roof letting water through, prolonged moisture in walls and floors, standing water in basements or crawl spaces, and visible mold or a musty smell after a water event. Left alone, wet materials lead to mold growth and structural deterioration.

The crew uses industrial-grade equipment to extract the water and dry the affected areas, and works to prevent secondary damage along the way. The aim is a property that is safe and ready for restoration work. For the detail on each stage, see the water damage restoration page.

Because BXC is a roofing company first, the water can be traced to its source. If the roof let it in, the roof repair and the interior drying come from the same team. Ask for the documentation your insurer will want as the work goes, not after it.
